Anti-Spam Guidelines

This document provides recommendations on how Unsolicited Electronic Messages (UEM) and Commercial Electronic Messages (CEM) should be handled within the State of Qatar. The aim of this document is to promote optimal use of electronic means and reduce the burden of UEM on both individuals and organizations within the State of Qatar. It also aims to reduce the burden to those affected by UEM generated from within the state of Qatar.

Summary of Comments - Telecommunications Billing Guidelines

ictQATAR received 68 responses to its public consultation regarding proposed guidelines for telecommunications billing practices. This document contains the statistical summary of all responses that were submitted using ictQATAR’s comment submission form which was in a questionnaire format. In addition to responses from a major international bank and petroleum company, the majority of responses were submitted by individuals.

ictQATAR Telecommunications Billing Guidelines - Final Proposal

In August 2008, ictQATAR issued a consultation document regarding its proposal for telecommunications billing guidelines asking stakeholders for their views on the subject. ictQATAR received 68 responses in this regard. The comments received from stakeholders have been taken into account in this final proposal for Telecommunications Billing Guidelines.

Final Type Approval Guidelines

This document, “Type Approval Guidelines for Radio Equipment and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (“RTTE”)” is issued by ictQATAR following the publication of the Type Approval Policy, in accordance with Decree Law No.  (34) of 2006 on the promulgation of the Telecommunications Law.

Responses to Consultation on Type Approval Guidelines

This document is a follow up to the public consultation on the draft Type Approval Guidelines launched by ictQATAR on 13 June 2010, which then led to the release of the final Type Approval Guidelines on 9 January 2011. The report provides a summary of the responses to the consultation document on the Type Approval Guidelines. The purpose of this consultation was to ensure that the new Type Approval regime is one that has the support of all the stakeholders involved in the run up to the planned opening of the market for importation and commercialization of RTTE.
