This document provides an overview of the proposed Policy on Open Data. It is imperative that to successfully adopt Open Data in the State of Qatar thereby ensuring social and economic progress of the nation, all government agencies implement the provisions as laid out in the policy document.

However, the full benefits of this policy and the efforts by the Government agencies can only be reaped if the industry will participate in this.  Prior to publishing the policy, it is the objective of this consultation to seek feedback and comments on the proposed policy provisions from the government agencies, the private industry and general public in the State of Qatar. Please refer to attached policy draft for the details. Respondents are requested to provide their responses by April 17, 2014.

Instructions on how to respond to the consultation are included in the attached document together with the Open Data Policy Draft.
