The Connect Arab Summit
Summit aimed to mobilize human, financial and technical resources to close ICT gaps in the region.
Organized by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) with ictQATAR’s support, the Connect Arab Summit, held on March 5-7, 2012 at the Sheraton Doha Hotel, overall objective was to mobilize the human, financial and technical resources required to close Information and Communication Technology (ICT) gaps in the Arab region.
It was venue for leaders from the public and private sectors, as well as international and regional financing and development agencies to network and explore new partnerships. The Summit featured discussion panels and roundtables focusing on the challenges posed to emerging and transition economies in harnessing the full potential of ICT.
