Hukoomi Announces National Day Contest Winners, Gears Up For Future

Hukoomi, Qatar’s e-Government portal, announced winners of its Qatar National Day Instagram competition. Over 400 Hukoomi users submitted original photos portraying the spirit of celebrating the National Day. Hukoomi, Qatar’s e-Government Portal, recently awarded the winners of a special Instagram competition to inspire users to capture Qatar National Day celebratory moments.

Hassan Al-Sayed, IT Platform Manager In an interview with Al-Raya newspaper Mr. Hassan Al-Sayed, IT Platform Manager at ictQATAR's GIMO, said the number of electronic transactions conducted on the current e-government  - - has exceeded one million since 2003.

Qatar has been recognized for advancements in e-government with the recent release of the United Nations (UN) e-Government Survey, rising to number 27 in the rankings, a significant improvement from its previous ranking of 90 in 2010. The Survey also placed Qatar at number nine in the e-Participation index for 2012.

With 99 percent of customers reporting that they are satisfied or highly satisfied with the service they receive from ictQATAR's Government Contact Center, it should be no surprise that the Center recently was named the Best New Call Center in the Middle East 2010 at the INSIGHTS Middle East Call Center Awards, held in Dubai on May 12, 2010.
