Build the information and communication technology (ICT) capability for ICT professionals in government in order to achieve improved service provision through efficiency, in line with the Qatar Digital Government 2020 Strategy.
1. Support digital transformation of Government through building capability of ICT professionals.
2. Create a new generation of e-Government ICT professionals across the state of Qatar that have high level of technical competencies in all matters relating to e-Government.
3. Train at least 1,000 ICT professionals in the government sector every year
4. Create strategic partnerships with Information Technology providers.
Qatar Digital Government Training Program offer programs which aims to boost the professional capacity of government IT employees with specialized and accredited training. In order to maintain the sustainable effectiveness of the program, technology partnerships have been expanded with a number of leading technological training providers in the information technology field such as: Microsoft, SAP, IBM, CISCO, ITIL, PMI, COMPTIA and others, to provide first class training programs in a variety of IT disciplines, such as Database Management, IT Management & Governance, Software/ Application Development, Network management and moreâ€¦ Through a partnership with the international business school, HEC Paris in Qatar â€“ universally recognized institution in executive education - the program provide also leadership programs specifically customized to meet the needs of the technology sector in Qatar, such as the â€œIT Talent programâ€™â€™, a professional development program at the best practice level for IT fresh graduates, which aims to provide an intensive immersive learning experience for fresh graduates newly entering Government. Also, the â€œExecutive CTOâ€ Program focuses on the development of executive IT professionals, offering them the opportunity to join an international peer group and work with world renowned faculty to gain strategic insight, leadership skills and tools to shape the digital future.
